Gearbox Working On New Character For Borderlands 2
Borderlands 2In Borderlands 2, you can play as one of four distinct and enjoyable characters. Well, five, if you download the new Mechromancer character.
But in addition, it seems developer Gearbox Software is hard at work on yet another character, which you can then attempt to max out on the battlefield.
This according to Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford who confirmed the new character on Twitter. Now, that doesn't mean it's official just yet; when TBreakingP contacted 2K Games about the subject, they received this reply:
"The necessary systems are in place for us to create additional playable characters, however the decision to make use of those systems has always relied on the community’s response to the Mechromancer."
So that's good news. The community seemed to respond well to the Mechromancer so maybe this new character is inevitable. That being said, what kind of fighter would you like to see? Would you want a more strategic or stealthy character? Or another brute wacko like the Gunzerker?

This is good news though. As just out of coincidence my 3 friends and I all pcked different characters. And myself and another buddy kept wanting to be the mechro in another playthrough. Problem was we didn't want to use the same character and playing with or alongside your friends characters kind of halted the idea of using one of them. So this would be perfect for a third playthrough.

I would love to see something along the lines of a Necromancer. Bring back beasts or dead enemies and use Poison. You could do some great things like Diablo II's Necromancer.
Also, a shape shifter would be cool!
The possibilities are endless!

My level 50 zerker is a freaking beast. His duel wielding shotguns and damaging bonus shield just downs stuff with ease. I kill Terramorphus in 5 seconds!
My level 50 Commando is awesome to farm with and if you play with 3 more online you own everything.
My level 50 Siren I am still getting use too, but she is fun to play.
My level 50 assasin sucks. He is specced as a sniper. I might make him pure melee and see how that goes.
Canta wait for the NEW character. PLEASE LET IT BE A CLAPTRAP CLASS!!!!

Yea, Terramorphous is one of the easier raid bosses, but even said "5 seconds", that just wouldn't happen, especially solo.
It's strange you would just be getting used to your Siren when she's a level 50. By then you should absolutely know how you're using her whether it be for pure carnage and damage, or as a healer. Or maybe both. Either way stick with her, she's a beast, and if you stick with her and use her in groups sticking with her harmony skill tree makes your group practically invincible if you play her right.
