THQ Studios Working On A Variety Of Unannounced Projects

Despite THQ's bankruptcy, work moves ahead as planned on current projects.

We know about a few of them - for example, Saints Row 4 is probably inevitable - but more unannounced projects have recently come to light, many of which sound awfully promising. Be optimistic!

Relic Entertainment is working on Company of Heroes 2, which is slated to arrive some time next year, and they're also preparing a new project entitled "Atlas," which has a tentative 2014 release date. The team that gave you Left 4 Dead and Counter-Strike Source, Turtle Rock Studios, is working on a co-op multiplayer game called "Evolve," which should entice a great many gamers, and THQ Montreal is creating a title called "1666." No clues about that one just yet, but we'll be patient.

As for Vigil Games, maker of Darksiders and Darksiders II, they've got something in the works called "Crawler," which is another new name. Personally, I just want Darksiders III but Vigil has proven themselves to be quite capable, so...

Vigil is the only studio I care about, though, I'm trying not to get my hopes up for DSIII because THq seems to be nearly off the map. Also, their lead art designer left the company to go back to comic book art.

Nothing really interesting there but Saints Row 4. They don't seem to be focused on things that can save them.

I agree. Also, I am worried that they will try *too* hard with SR4. I thought they on certain areas already has taken it too far in SR3.

holy crappers, THQ must be desperate.
Darksiders COMPLETE franchise pack is on AMazon right now for PC (Steam DRM) for only $13. That's like everything. This includes all of the DLC for both games, DS and DSII.
Cha-ching!

dang, I knew the game would go cheap quick but this is just insane.

I wish THQ well, & hope that whoever buys them, will let them continue making their games & not hinder their output, or break their assets apart for quick re-sale, like most capital company buys seem to do soon after getting their hands on them.

disappointing, i hope someone comes in and saves THQ QUICK!
but i hope nothing changes with the studio, there THE only publisher out there that always tries to do something different so i hope it stays that way.

shame to see whats happened to THQ, you put out nothing but awesome games (well besides that WWE crap, its WWE what do you expect?) and this is how your thanked!
sad, just goes to show how unfair this industry is!
copy and paste your whole life and copy everyone else and your the richest publisher in the industry!
try to create something different and new, or try to look to something overdone and saturated and put your spin on it, and you go bankrupt!
sigh.

every game THQ has made whether its darksiders or homefront, 2 perfect examples of taking a saturated genre and trying to inject some life into them, try and do something different.
or metro and deblob, 2 totally new unique quirky cool games we really dont see much of.
thats why i love THQ, they are NEVER BORING!
NEVER!
there not like antivision, EA, 2K, $ony, M$, $E, crapcom, they dont look at the industry and say ok this is what everyones doing so thats what we have to do.
they look at the industry and say ok this is what everyones doing, so lets do something different.
lets either do something totally different, a new cool quirky idea.
or take saturated genres, hey everyone loves war games, so lets take their ideas and show the world what else can be done with it.
there never ever boring, they always put their unique spin onto things.

just goes to show how much of a hypercrite society has become!
people are always crying same old same old, than go buy same old same old.
and when new fresh ideas finally come out there nowhere to be found!
sigh, as cliffy b once said haters will hate right to the cash register….............
only if 10% of people practiced what they preached, this would would be a MUCH better place!
