Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix Receives Japanese Launch Date

Now that the game has a Japanese date, maybe we can all hope for a North American date...? Let's be optimistic. 

According to the game's official website and as spotted by iGoGaming, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix is slated to launch in Japan on March 14, 2013, exclusively on the PlayStation 3.

The compilation was revelaed at the Tokyo Game Show and includes HD remasters of Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories, and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. ...is it just me, or has this franchise adopted the most bizarre titles ever? Anyway, Square Enix hasn't announced a North American or European release ('grumble growl'), and the bad news is that we never got Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix, either. Fans of the series are kinda feeling a little ignored right now, and they're desperately hoping for a true-blue sequel; ya know, the long-awaited Kingdom Hearts III.

Well, it's possible. Feasibly.

heh, what? No FFXIII-3 Lightning Returns trailer story? And here I thought I could get my daily FFXIII-3 updates from PSXe alone =p
... I just wanted to rag on it's flat looking lighting (I said LIGHTING). I was cool with her new outfit, but then they just had to show that sunglasses scene that apes Matrix. Lame.

EPIC!!! She can now CLIMB UP LADDERS! She can also...SLIDE DOWN POLES! Wow! My blood is boiling! Also, we all know only badass people wear sunglasses in the dark while there's a thunderstorm! Can't forget that the combat system looks to have an identity crisis, and we all know people with these kinds of problems are the most interesting to read about, so what's not to love?!

PSXE did an article when it was first announced, too. Zen is right. This is new news with an official release date.

The website for the game has the announcement with an image of Sora sitting on a throne much akin to Noctis. Maybe a hint towards the near future?

Kingdom Hearts 3DS was a true blue sequel. Pretty damn good one at that. KHIII will close everything up for whatever arc they want to call it. Who knows where it goes from there.

Sadly it won't end that arc. They already said that this series will continue for awhile with Sora and the rest of the cast. I want their stories to end so I can be finished with this part of the series. :\
