Sample The Co-Op Action Of Dead Space 3 In A Few Weeks

Dead Space 3 should be among your most anticipated titles of 2013. The first two were just so worth playing.

But if you're not yet convinced, you can always try the demo. EA has announced that a playable sample will be available on the Xbox Live Marketplace on January 15 and a week later (January 22) on the PlayStation Network.

It looks like this demo will highlight the game's new co-op mode, as "players will be thrust into deep space terror when unwilling hero – Isaac Clarke – and all-new co-op companion – Sergeant John Carver." Fans of the series have been a little leery about this new addition, although those who like multiplayer certainly appreciate the co-op option. The issue always centers on the AI; not everyone is going to be playing this with another human, so...

Dead Space 3 will seek to thrill you on February 5, when it releases in North America for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. Europe gets it three days later as per usual. Also, here's a brand new trailer that updates you on the plot; it's called The Story So Far.

As excited as I am for this game Visceral needs to work Dante's Purgatorio. I always felt that Dante's Inferno was highly overlooked. It wasn't the greatest of games but it had solid foundations to become a really good franchise. I feel the same about Psi-ops, but that's a whole other story.

Damn right son. I dunno what's left of the Inferno team but I wish they would let them do that after DS3. It sold about a million which isn't bad for a new IP and it was more fun than GOWIII.

Why do we get the f-ing demo a week later? Sigh... Well i can't wait to play it. It's going to be interesting to see if they made it super easy even though there's two players. You would think it would be twice as hard but most co-op games just get easier with a friend. RE6 no hope left difficulty is laughably easy. It turns off inf ammo and skills. Yeah, that's it.
