DJ Kavinsky Featured On NightRide FM Radio Station In GTAV

Grand Theft Auto aficionados are well aware of the importance of radio stations. It's a big part of what makes these games so dang fun.

In the past, we've had all sorts of awesomely hilarious (and sometimes just awesome) fictional radio stations in GTA installments. Who doesn't like Lazlow? And who doesn't laugh at all those hysterical commercial pitches? Oh, and let's not forget the atmosphere provided by songs of the era in question in Vice City and San Andreas.

So what will we get in the upcoming Grand Theft Auto V? Well, all the radio stations have yet be revealed, but we do have one fresh tidbit: According to The Gamer's Drop, DJ Kavinsky will be involved with the station known as "NightRide FM." This was confirmed via his Twitter account; if you're wondering, Kavinsky scored the movies "Drive" and "The Lincoln Lawyer," and one of his remixes was heard in GTAIV.

Me, I just want the call-in shows back. That generated epic hilarity.

I want Vice City FM again. I want Lazlow back. Oh hell, I just want a game full of awesome tunes and R* rarely fails to deliver on that front. My highlight for the GTA radio stations is "The Time Ranger" from Vice City Stories. Cracked me up every time I heard it. Of course, I was younger in those days...

The public radio stations are what I always tune in first in a new GTA. They are just wonderful.

Would be pretty cool if you can stream a radio station of your choice. I like my GTA with ranchera or banda thank you very much.

I just hope the new stations are better then the horrible selections GTA IV had. Thankfully the PC versions let you import your own songs.

a few weeks after the game was announced a supposed intern for R* leaked a bunch of details, one being the weapon upgrade system from san andreas is back.
is that true?

id like to think the game will be wide and varied enough that showing a little of it wont hurt anything.

I just hope that does a perfect story balance like in GTA4. San Andreas focused way too much on screwing around and you had no idea what was going on half the time.
