Five Potential Buyers For THQ Properties, Including Warner Bros.
With THQ filing Chapter 11, their assets are now up for auction.
However, the sale isn't going as smoothly as the publisher might've hoped, as they don't want to sell things off piecemeal; they wish to have one buyer pick up THQ's entire portfolio of projects.
On the plus side, at least five companies are interested in picking up some of the embattled company's assets, as reported by Distressed Debt Investing, and one of them is Warner Bros. According to a series of Tweets by THQ banker Sam Greene, Warner Bros. and at least four other potential buyers are in "active due diligence" to pursue THQ properties. But again, none seem interested in buying all THQ has to offer and furthermore, US Trustee Roberta DeAngelis along with THQ creditors has objected to the brief timetable for the sale (30 days), claiming there just isn't enough time.
I'm no lawyer and I just hope everything goes well. There are several titles on THQ's slate that I'm hoping will see eventual release.

I was just thinking about all the poor studios that didn't deserve to die.
On top of that I've seen a lot of studios that used to make full length ps2/ps3 games reduced to making low budget IOS and android games.
Its a terrible thing. THQ was working soooo hard to improve and they were doing well. I hope the company comes out strong.

Look at the list, almost all are unknown studios and the very small others are studios that made bad games, put too much money in their game than they should or were really greedy and ripped us off/anti consumer.
THQ without a doubt was really greedy and anti consumer and ripped us off.
Gamers need to stop caring more about companies than they do themselves and their experience and satisfaction because these companies don't give a rats hair butt crack about you, they just care about getting as much money as possible from you and they doing and spending as less as possible as well as controlling you as much as possible.
Also, gamers need to stop fearing that video games will die if they don't support the studios as much as possible and that all the used game sales are killing the industry and all the other BS are just propaganda. Video games, the industry, home consoles, portable consoles and everything in gaming are doing better than EVER! And before all these greedy, anti consumer practices came about like online pass, day one DLC, etc gaming was HUGE, look from NES gen to PS2 gen.
There's so much more I can say but I'm hungry and want to it LOL.
Just wake up gamers, you shouldn't feel bad for a company like THQ when they don't care about you one bit except for getting as much money as possible from you and giving you less and do anti consumer and ripping you off practices. Gaming won't die if you don't support bad practices and only support good ones, and let the anti consumer companies go away and have the good companies, pro consumer companies stay and just as the bad comapnies disappear, good companies will come. :)

$ony liverpoon and zipper were 2 of $onys best studios, and they have recently kicked the bucket!
all while A2M of naughty bear fame, nhillistic, ect, ect are still alive.
90% of the time it was the good, big developers who are the ones who get the axe!
team bondi another awesome big studio who supposedly kicked the bucket.
well they filed for bankruptcy, but there still operating creating whore of the orient.

i wonder if 2K is interested, maybe thats why their CEO has been spewing so much bile at them.......
id love to see WB pick them up, there quite a well funded publisher they have plenty cash to splash, and always like to try put out something a bit different.
actually come to think about it there quite allot like THQ!
imagine rocksteady working on darksiders 3, now that would be kick a$$!
whoever picks them up though i hope they do a all out buy instead of just specific licenses.
id be a shame to see the licenses split up between different publishers, and furthermore that would give a higher chance of some of the franchises being dropped altogether.
THQ at least assures this wont effect their upcoming games, WHICH IT BETTER NOT!
if metro last light, and, or, south park the stick of truth get canned, theres going to be heck to pay!
heck i tells ya!

While everyone was playing gta4 (which i got bored of after 1 playthrough with some MP) i was exploring sr2. The enviormental weapons were removed (in sr2 you could be naked and kill people using trash bags, fire hidrants, even chairs.) I did like things they added in sr3 but they took away to much for it to matter. Loved genki, weapons custo, and even the DLC. But hey, this is coming from the guy who didn't like dishonored so burn me at the stake and all that.
