LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Goes Into Action Later This Year

Yep, it's more LEGO family-friendly fun and this time, Marvel's assortment of supernaturally gifted heroes and heroines will be featured.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games, and The LEGO Group and Marvel Entertainment have announced that LEGO Marvel Super Heroes will be coming to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PC, DS, 3DS, and PlayStation Vita this fall. This will be the first LEGO game to boast the iconic Marvel characters.

Obviously, this complements the already available Marvel Super Heroes construction toy collection, which boasts all the characters and vehicles from the renowned universe in question. Right now, there are eight sets that capture memorable scenes from the X-Men, Iron Man, and Spider-Man franchises, with more coming this spring. In LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, Nick Fury calls upon Iron Man, the Hulk, Thor, Spider-Man, Wolverine, and various other heroes to save Earth from havoc and destruction. Villains include Loki and Galactus, Devourer of the Worlds. Said TT Games Publishing Managing Director Tom Stone:

“We'’re very excited to bring a myriad of classic Marvel characters to life in LEGO form for some fun, family-friendly gameplay in LEGO Marvel Super Heroes. Players will brave the ultimate mission to save the world as they explore famous landmarks in LEGO New York and take the adventure beyond Earth to iconic locations in the Marvel Universe."

These games are usually loads of fun, especially with a friend. And with superheroes, the fun just got a little better, right?
