SCEA Explains Lower-Than-Expected Cost Of New Sly Cooper
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time is absolutely one of the most anticipated PlayStation titles of the year...so why is the price tag suspiciously low?
Well, firstly, don't be suspicious. And secondly, it's quite simply so a purchase becomes a "no-brainer" for consumers. This according to what SCEA Associate Product Marketing Manager Christian Cardona said over at the PlayStation Blog.
The new Sly Cooper will only cost $39.99 for the PS3 version and $29.99 for the Vita iteration, and Cardona wanted to stress that we shouldn't expect a lesser experience because it's a lesser cost. In terms of content, there's "plenty plenty," as he said that "price doesn't always equal quality or content" (which is true, of course). This also doesn't have anything to do with concerns about potential sales; it's just a really competitive market and you have to make your product as appealing as possible. And we totally get that.
We also learn that you can download the game on Day 1 if you so desire and there will be only one Trophy list (not a separate one for each version on PS3 and Vita). So, does the lower price tag make you more interested...? By all rights, it should.

Anyway, it will only be $100 and taxes for both Sly and Dead Space 3. Easier on the wallet!

When I played the demo It was over in about 5 minutes or so, which got me thinking that if they had a decent length demo, it would show to much of the game.
This unfortunately has gotten me to think that once again... I certainly hope I am wrong.
Also I already preordered this for $48 lol. Guess I'll be getting some money back.

Anyway, hope it sells(and reviews) well enough for Sony to let Sanzaru crank away on another one for next gen. A true gem of a series that should never be allowed to die.
