Ron Gilbert, Double Fine Bring You The Cave Next Week
If you're a fan of creative, imaginative, and downright ingenious productions, you probably know all about designer Ron Gilbert and studio Double Fine Productions.
From such minds have sprung the likes of Maniac Mansion and Psychonauts and now, Gilbert and Double Fine are bringing you The Cave, which should be catnip to old-school adventurers who will appreciate such well-designed puzzles and off-the-wall humor. This is the evolution of the adventure genre!
Today, Sega of America, Inc. in a partnership with Double Fine, has announced that The Cave will land on the PlayStation Network and Nintendo eShop on Wii U on January 22; it'll hold a $14.99 price tag. The game will hit Xbox Live (where it will go for 1,200 Microsoft Points) and Steam a day later. The title in question earned Best Adventure Game of E3 2012 from Game Informer and if you want to learn more, check out our recent preview. There's also more to be seen at the game's official website, so you have plenty of ways to get excited.
Titles like these are good reasons to keep checking on the progress of digital interactive offerings.
