Killer Is Dead Drops This Summer: Mondo Zappa Goes Hunting
Killer is DeadDon't be too surprised. This is the same duo that brought you Shadows of the Damned and Lollipop Chainsaw. Gratuitous over-the-top insanity is kinda what they do.
The new game coming from Grasshopper Manufacture and Kadokawa Games is called Killer is Dead. Don't over-think the title; it's exactly the way it sounds: Some dude runs around killing killers. See, straightforward.
As reported by Siliconera, the title will hit store shelves this summer (in Japan presumably) and features main character Mondo Zappa. In addition to having arguably the coolest name in gaming history, Zappa wields a katana in his right hand and his left hand has been augmented. Basically, that hand can turn into a gun or a drill or whatever...and there's that insane bit to which I alluded above. You can also learn more about the story by clicking the link.
If you search around for some of the available media, the game looks pretty interesting. That art style can be quite effective, and the gameplay ought to be downright bonkers. Can't wait to learn more about it.

after his past 2 games, shadows of the damned, and lollipop chainsaw i have to put a automatic pass on this as interesting as it does sound.
absolutely HATED shadows, and lollipop was so stupid and over the top gratuitous, even i found it offensive!
game just treats you like a sexist moron!

Sounds like a very cool game. They are treading water with their ideas but any game where you off mass murderers sounds quite cool. Hopefully, it will offer something different from Shadow Of The Damned and Lollipop Chainsaw. I have to play the latter; the price has dropped to $20.
