Lightning Returns Extended Trailer: Noel Makes An Appearance
We know you're just begging for more Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII media, so here's the latest Extended Trailer.
First, we're once again reminded of the fact that in 13 days, the end of the world will be upon us. Lightning has awakened to save wayward souls and yes, this will be a solo quest for the pretty protagonist. RPG fans aren't likin' that but hey, it could turn out to be a decent action game, right?
Anyway, another familiar face is seen in this trailer; it's Noel from Final Fantasy XIII-2, who traveled with Serah and was quite the swordsman. Here, he actually crosses blades with Lightning because...well, apparently, he doesn't believe she's Lightning. Then there's that free-roaming jumping and climbing we'd heard about before, along with more footage of Lightning going one-on-one. Oh yes, and Lightning in her Matrix sunglasses, which is just the cherry on the parfait.

I hope this game wraps up all the plot holes in XIII-2. I hope that battle system manages to be fun (it actually looks slightly more dynamic than the last two) and I hope Lightning can reverse that horrible ending in XIII-2 using her god powers. I'd also like to know how it is she became this Goddess and why. I don't recall that making much if any sense in FFXIII-2.
Also I hope this Assassin's Creed stuff is useful and not just a way of getting around in an attempt to be like a western game.
And I hope that doom clock doesn't do all the horrible things we think it will
And I hope we can have Light's classic skin without paying for it. She looks like she jumped out of a samurai's clothes hamper.
A chance to kick Noel's ass? Sounds great to me. Maybe Light and Fang could have a romance too :)
Let's get this thing out, see how it is, then read the reviews and give our judgements so we can all begin praying for a return to greatness in the next generation.

Just don't understand why we had to get this first instead of vs13....
Also for the costumes there are apparently quite a few and they all change the look. The costumes can be upgraded with things you buy in the shops. I actually saw some pretty cool ones in a screenshot gallery somewhere, but the one she starts with and the one on the cover is the worst.
But yeah, I wouldn't care about this game existing if it wasn't for the fact that vs13 is just sitting somewhere waiting to be finished and unleashed on the world.

Then there are new scans of this Lumina character... Who looks like Serah, but even younger and she's dressed in Lightnings Bayonneta costume....
This is the first Final Fantasy I am not excited about, I am playing Xenoblade now and have Ni No Kuni just around the corner... I just do not care for this which makes me feel sad.

If they managed to connect 13s universe with versus 13 in some cool meaningful way I would have all my faith restored in SE...well maybe not all of it but most of it.
But that is just wishful thinking, I'm sure we will get versus13 eventually but I hope it is sooner rather than later...like this fall :P
