Madden NFL 13 Simulates Super Bowl: Ravens Edge 49ers
It's that time of year again; time for the most recent iteration of the Madden football simulator to pick the Super Bowl victor.
And as you can see by the recap video below, Madden NFL 13 believes the Baltimore Ravens will edge the San Francisco 49ers 27-24 thanks to a 40-yard field goal by rookie Justin Tucker with only 50 seconds left in the game.
Baltimore never fell behind during the simulation and actually held a 24-10 lead going into the fourth quarter. The Niners came back and tied the game on a Colin Kaepernick pass to Vernon Davis just before the two-minute warning, and they could've secured the victory late but with only 17 seconds to play, Ed Reed intercepted Kaepernick in the end zone. Yeah, well, I've been worried about that...and by the way, how can Madden properly simulate the play of Kaepernick, who came out of nowhere in the middle of the season? Updated stats, presumably. Nobody expected this guy to do what he has done.
