Michael Keaton Suddenly Makes Need For Speed Better
Honestly, the idea of a "Need for Speed" movie doesn't really do anything for me. Fast cars driving around...and "Fast and Furious 6" out soon. 'yawn'
But really, I'll watch just about anything with Michael Keaton, one of the most underrated actors of my time. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Keaton has joined the cast of the upcoming NFS film, which also stars Aaron Paul and Dominic Cooper.
The story follows a local street-racer (Paul) who teams up with a rich and cocky business partner (Cooper), but trouble ensues. There's a frame-up and the street-racer finds himself in prison; after he gets out, he joins an epic New York-to-Los Angeles race to get revenge. Well, of course, the best way to get revenge is either die or go back to jail. ...well, whatever. Anyway, Keaton plays the "reclusive and eccentric host of an underground super car race where he invites the best drivers from around the world." That sounds like good gig for him, I think.
Those of you who are unfamiliar should look up some of Keaton's work besides "Batman" and "Beetlejuice." Seriously.
