What Exactly Is Square Enix's Murdered: Soul Suspect?
If you're into darker mysteries, Square Enix might just have the game for you.
The publisher has revealed Murdered: Soul Suspect, which is in development for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC and will have players attempt to solve "possibly the hardest case of all." ...hmm, creepy.
We have no idea which studio is working on the project, nor do we have an estimated release date. But it's possible that either Eidos Montreal or Crystal Dynamics is involved, as they're both currently cranking away on unannounced titles. All we have so far is the teaser website with an odd symbol taking center-stage. If you enter the word "Ronan" you'll see a screenshot featuring a man who seems to be lying dead in a street. A shadowy figure looms over him. There's also an American flag, which hints at a US setting, and there are other clues, such as a phone number.
As for that image, we glean the following information from its properties:
"O'Connor, male, mid-30s, 170lbs, 5' 11" ...detectives aren't supposed to get bloody knuckles, but I've done a lot of things I wasn't supposed to do. I lived through it all, the beat-downs, the back-stabbing, disrespect most people wouldn't see in ten lifetimes and I never lost a fight… until now."
So we'll play as a detective? Is it really about solving cases or is it closer to action/adventure? Guess we'll have to wait and see.

but since antivision still owns that name, they have to call it something else.
one thing that really disappointed me about sleeping dogs, it just did not feel like you were playing as a undercover cop.
especially later on in the game the cop missions, and even the guys attitude, really did not make him seem like a cop at all!
not to mention the cop missions were about as fun as watching a whole season of oprah!

Anyway my interest is piqued. I like using my big ol brain as a detective. Could be an L.A. Noire-like experience.
