New Domains Hint At Fresh Wolfenstein, Legacy Of Kain Titles

Dude, Legacy of Kain! Oh, and Wolfenstein, too, I guess.

It seems that according to various sources (including Joystiq), CSC Corporate Domains has registered a couple new domain names.

That may not sound very interesting until you realize that CSC Corporate Domains is a URL registration service utilized by publishers like Square Enix who want to hide their new projects. The two domain names are "wolfenstein-spiel.com" and "WarFornosGoth.com;" the first is self-explanatory but the latter might be referring to the fictional universe Nosgoth, found in the Legacy of Kain series. Now there's a franchise we haven't heard from in a while; the last entry was Legacy of Kain: Defiance, which launched back in 2003 for the PS2, Xbox and PC.

Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain was the first; it debuted on the PlayStation in 1996, but most fans say Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver was the best of the lot. I think it's long past time we got another Legacy of Kain and if it's Soul Reaver 3 (the second hit the PS2 and PC in 2001), then I say awesome. It'd be nice to have a super fun Wolfenstein entry as well. It's too bad, but the last one wasn't so hot

Spotted a typo, you say "then I saw awesome." Should be say :)

Now back on topic :P This series is honestly one of my favourites. The story and characters are awesome, and the setting was really gothic and interesting. I was sad when it looked like they were going to abandon it, mostly because the last game Defiance ended with sort of a cliff hanger.

I would be so stoked if they released a sequel to that. But what I imagine is going to happen is some sort of reboot like Tomb raider, but hopefuly I'm wrong :)

Wouldn't soul reaver 3 be impossible? I quite liked Raziel's character, but it wouldn't make any sense for him to return. A sequel would probably be named Blood Omen 3 or Defiance 2. I hate the idea of a reboot, but that's what they'd most likely do. This series really just needs a proper ending.

I'm not usually one to suggest a reboot but a retelling of Kain's story and the Soul Reaver saga might be the adrenaline shot to the heart that this next gen of gaming needs.

the last wolfenstein was actually a REALLY good game!
just suffered a little because it was really buggy.
that and singularity are two of THE most underrated games in history!
also goes to show how unappreciated the developers raven software are.
its a crime their owned by antivision, there just a awesome studio they should be freelance!
i so hope there is a new wolfenstein in the future, just make sure you hire a QA department first!

That name worries me a bit. Sounds like a name an MMO would have.

I'm not going to lie... I cheated the balls off of Soul Reaver, but I loved it nonetheless.

Very excited for a new LoK. If it does happen, I'll cry once again. Streams of tears of joy.
