Watch Dogs: A "True Next-Gen" Title Set For The Holidays?
Remember the game that wowed the hell out of everyone at E3 2012? Yeah, that's right, Ubisoft's Watch Dogs.
It looked so amazing that many were convinced the title was in the works for next-generation platforms. However, the publisher hasn't confirmed systems for the promising project just yet, although the latest update says the game will arrive later this year.
This according to marketing material obtained by Kotaku; a leaked poster says Watch Dogs will be available for "all home consoles" this holiday season. The poster also says this title be a "truly next-gen adventure" so maybe that's kind of a hint. There's a chance that both the new PlayStation and Xbox will be on store shelves later this year, so... Watch Dogs is definitely intriguing, and it could end up being a really special game. And we could use a brand new IP.
We'll have to wait for Ubisoft to make all the official confirmations, though.

But it all depends on the scale. If the city clips we've seen are in fact just a small bit of a much larger city, all bursting with as much life as those areas we've seen, then we most definitely can start talking next gen here. That's something current gen can't handle.
Either way I'm hoping it's for the Orbis. I will *not* be buying more games for the PS3 after this summer - The Last Of Us is the PS3 grande finale for me.

Guys imagine if Watch Dogs was released around the same time frame as GTA. That would be a dream for me!

as for next gen systems, well it was shown off on a VERY high spec PC, and ubisoft quite frequently when a generation is on its way out goes cross generation, ie release a game on both last and current gen.
not hard to put 2 and 2 together.
i just hope ubi dont pull their normal BS and delay this on PC by 6 weeks for "further polish".
especially when i walked into eb 3 weeks before release of the PC version and saw it sitting on store shelves!
yea, we need the extra development time thats why half of it was spent sitting at the back of the store!
sigh.
yea, it needs extra development time just like rayman legends does!
