Battlefield 4 To Be Shown Off Soon?
Hey, what's with retailers getting sneak peeks at big games before journalists? What the hell do the retailers care, anyway?
Okay, sorry, just some sour grapes there. After all, the dude is the CEO. According to GameStop boss Paul Raines' Twitter page, he was given an early look at EA's upcoming shooter, Battlefield 4.
And obviously, he was impressed:
"Got to see Battlefield 4 today and all I can say is WOW! Thanks @EA for the sneak peek. Can’t wait for you all to see it."
EA made it clear in January that Battlefield 4 would be making the Internet rounds within the next three months, so the official unveiling shouldn't be too far off. Furthermore, remember that all those who purchased last year's Medal of Honor: Warfighter are automatically guaranteed a spot in the beta test. Although Warfighter hit the skids in the eyes of critics (and consequently fell well shy of sales expectations), there's little doubt that Battlefield 4 will be successful. It's EA's biggest shooter by far and the only one that could legitimately challenge Activision's Call of Duty.
And when I say "legitimately challenge," I'm only referring to quality, of course. No chance anything - outside of Grand Theft Auto V - can challenge any new CoD in terms of sales.
