Gran Turismo 6 Not Next-Gen?
Gran Turismo 5Many have just assumed that the next Gran Turismo entry will be on the PlayStation 4.
But that might not be the case.
According to what Sony Worldwide Studios vice president Michael Denny told Silicon Republic, Gran Turismo 6 appears to be PS3-bound.
In speaking about how Sony will continue to support the PS3 (and the PlayStation Vita) in the coming years, Denny wanted to remind everyone of the games that are still on tap for this generation, so he had this to say:
"Look at the games coming out on the PlayStation 3 like The Last of Us, Beyond: Two Souls, GT6, and then on the third-party side of things another fantastic Assassin’s Creed, GTA."
Denny added that it's important for their content "to have that kind of longevity" because the games will just keep getting better and better over time. I suppose it's possible that GT6 will come to both the PS3 and PS4 but for now, the only pseudo-confirmed platform does appear to be this generation's PlayStation console. Still, wouldn't it be totally nuts if GT6 ended up being a PS4 launch title or something...?

Visuals is the only thing that can trade off between two generations of consoles without sacrificing overall quality of the game, so if they're releasing GT6 for the PS3 and PS4, the PS4 version will surely get held back by the PS3 version.
I never mind a GT6 for the PS3, but they can't bother with two different version for each generation. If it's going to be GT6 for the PS3, then it's GT7 for the PS4, in all of its glory.

I read on gamezone that watchdogs is confirmed for wii u, xbox 360,PS3 & PS4...seems like its a current gen game with fancy graphics for PS4/PC!
Star wars 1313 will probably follow suit,wonder what other games will have a cross platform release...GTA 5 ??

Do note that GT6 have yet to be announced for which console it will come to. Agent and Last Guardian has been announced for the PS3, so GT6 doesn't have that sort of burden to worry about.

More developers, programmers and general staff at Polyphony? A few less cars, but all ones included are premium?
I'd rather 600 premium cars over 1200 cars with only 300 premium ones, know what I mean?

there are 2 games that always sell a metric sh*t ton for playstation, that is MGS and GT.
to launch a new platform without either of them, especially when both games have already been announced, would be SUICIDE!
it would be better off for them the other way around, have these games only on ps4.
so that way people buy a ps4, otherwise they dont play them.
if your going to offer GT6 on both ps4 and ps3 people are going to say ok the ps4 version has better graphics, but 500+ dollars better graphics as id have to buy the system.
yea they would be loosing a few sales keeping it ps4 exclusive, but hopefully at least a few of those lost people will give in and buy it for ps4.
new consoles ALWAYS struggle at the start because they have so few games, and fewer really good must have games!
so a GT game as a launch title would be a MASSIVE advantage!
$ony would have to be bat sh*t f*cking INSANE to turn down GT6 for ps4!
what other playstation exclusive has sold over 50M units with only 5 games ever released!?

I want GT6 on PS4 if at all possible, that way it's as good of an experience as we can get from PD until they get used to developing games for the PS4.
Where's daus at? A GT article without daus commenting seems a little more empty, I like his input.

We've known that it was coming and Kaz even said they've started work on it even before GT5 was released in retail stores. How can a game this known not get a clear indication on what console it's coming to? Add that to the fact that Kazunori and PD were one of Sony's key developers in the design of the PS4. That adds merits on the fact that they've been aware of the PS4 for some time now, so he may very well be talking about GT6 being made with PS4 devkits back then.
By the time this game gets announced or released, it will be well into the PS4's time. It's a waste of the most sold PS exclusive title, if Sony wants to sell as many early PS4 units as possible. For one, I'll surely get the PS4 early if I know a next gen GT will come early. However, if they plan to release GT6 for the PS3, and like a half-made GT7 for PS4, I may just wait till the next full blown GT game. GT6 for both PS3 and PS4 is out of the question for me.

You nailed it to with your GT6 on the PS4 explanation too. Kaz and PD developed GT6 on their PC's all the while knowing that the PS4 was fully going to be like a PC.
Oh daus26, you know as well as I do that you will be buying GT6 wherever it may turn up! :)

I'm going to have to look up this "source"'s info, because you guys have my interest piqued now. I don't actively look for gaming inside info, I usually stick to this site, the ps blog, ign, and ps3t.org for my gaming news.
I just hope you guys are right and we get GT6 on PS4. I am ready to get another GT platinum on my PSN profile to brag about, lol.
