Metro: Last Light Earns New Launch Date
It's one of the more promising titles of the year, and it'd be a mistake to write it off as just another shooter.
Today, Deep Silver has announced that Metro: Last Light, the follow-up to the acclaimed Metro 2033, will launch on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC in North America on May 14, and on May 17 in Europe.
If you remember, this project was part of THQ's roster; it was originally expected to release this month. But after the publisher's demise, Deep Silver was quick to swoop in and pick up the Metro franchise, which has proven unique and engaging. Said Dr. Klemens Kundratitz, Koch Media CEO:
"The new release date is the ideal way to strike the balance between bringing the best out of Metro: Last Light and not keep the fans waiting longer than necessary. We won't leave that time unexploited and will work closely together with 4A Games to make the game even better. It will receive all the attention it deserves."
Deep Silver International Commercial Director Menno van der Bil added that they can assure the fans "that we have a lot more coming their way with the franchise." i just hope they have either made ammo much more readily available or many less enemies.
HATE it when games give you 5 bullets than sends 100 enemies your way!
exactly what kept happening with the original, got to a level where your in a really small room and its really hard to move around and you get ambushed by monsters.
as if thats not hard enough, there really is not much items around to scavenge so if you get to this level with low items your basically f*cked!
you could go back and buy some more ammo but again theres nothing to scavenge to sell to get the funds to buy things.
and even if your able to buy ammo, they dont let you buy enough stores keep selling out.
the game gives you 5 bucks, then says go pay the weekly bills, lunch money, grocery money, fuel money, and repair money all rolled into one!
yea, just a hunch, but my intuition tells me that aint gonna be enough……….............

When you fought humans ammo was never really an issue. Now going to places littered with mutants and yeah ammo could be a problem.
But still I don't want them to streamline this. You of all people complain that games are rehash copy and pastes so you must understand why I would want them to keep these aspects of the game. It was a survival game after all, and ammo and everything should be a bit scarce.

but then dont make it require 10 bullets to kill one mutated dog thingy!
im up to this part where you walk down a set of stairs, and your stuck in this room but can see a like glass set of doors cracked and a cliff just past it.
you go to walk up to the glass and suddenly you see tons of mutated dog thingies rushing in towards you, and your forced to sit there and fight them as the room is sealed.
they should make it that 2 shots will kill your enemies, not make bullets really scarce than make you empty 10+ of them just to kill 1 of 20 enemies in the room!
