New Revengeance VR Missions: A Dwarf Gecko And A Wooden Sword

This past week, we learned that the PlayStation 3 version of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance would be getting an extra 30 VR missions via DLC.

It'll be available for free between March 12 and April 3 and if you want to check 'em out beforehand, here's a sneak peek thanks to Siliconera.

Okay, so it's a little weird; the mission on display has players moving through a level as a Dwarf Gekko and it looks a little like an action/platformer. Raiden shows up to act as a sniper in another stage and then there's the level where you have to go melee with nothing but your fists. There's even a Hibi damashii (Snake Spirt), which is basically a wooden sword that will let you finish the game without actually killing cyborgs. Are you ready for a whole different set of challenges this week...?

Am I crazy or was the VR stuff the least fun part?

Well, if you were trying to get the Virtually a god trophy, then yeah you're right.

I found them pretty fun and challenging though.

Ummmmm.

The Wooden Sword has been out since the beginning?

I am using it in my playthrough right now to get the 10 No Kill battle trophy?!

I know they were supposed to release a Wooden Sword that had Snake talking or something, but is it the same as the one that is already in the game? I don't want to download the game and lose it because I haven't bought the DLC.

Oh boy I'm playing this one, I can't believe people think the plot of this game is bad, is one of the highest points of the game!, Wolf and Doktor Codec convos steal the show there, also ''nanomachines , son'' xD, this game has one of best last boss fights out there, something DMC lacked, wonder what God of War Ascension and Castlevania Lords of Shadows 2 have, it gonna be hard to top MGR on the bosses department.

I have to say, this looks more appealing than the main game. With all the story and bad new characters out of the way it looks rather enjoyable. They seem to have been having fun with this. The box mode looks very enjoyable and I like the look of the Dwarf Gekko Missions. Not so sure about the wooden stick with Solid Snakes voice but there are worse things...

Even though I don't own the game yet I'll be getting this download for free anyway. As I do tend to get around to it later in the year.

Bad new characters?...if JetStream Sam, Senator Armstrong, Doktor and Wolf are bad characters 90% of all gaming characters are an abomination.
