Classic Dungeons & Dragons Arcade Titles Headed To PSN, XBLA

Man, I still remember getting dragged to the arcades by a friend just so he could play more D&D.

Now it seems two of the classic Capcom Dungeons & Dragons arcade titles will be going digital on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.

According to Siliconera, both Tower of Doom and Shadow Over Mystara will be resurrected soon. For the uninitiated, these were available in the early 90s and were examples of the side-scrolling greatness of that time. The last time anybody saw these two games was when they were ported to the Sega Saturn in 1999; they came with the Dungeons & Dragons Collection. I'd love to see them return! Just so much fun.

And you know, they weren't like your typical side-scrollers. These games had more depth than the average 2D adventure in those days, which is precisely what made them so darn appealing in my opinion.
