Capcom Reveals Remastered DuckTales

If you're of a certain age, you know all about "DuckTales." And you looooooved "DuckTales," didn't you?

During Capcom's "World of Capcom" panel at PAX East, the publisher announced a brand new DuckTales game. Yeah, that's right; it's coming back!

DuckTales Remastered is coming to the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, and eShop for Wii U, and it's being developed by WayForward Technologies, who recently produced a game that might be considered to be the exact opposite of this new project: BloodRayne: Betrayal. Talk about a 180! Anyway, this new DuckTales title will not only feature slick high-definition graphics, it'll also feature authentic character voices from the show. You should also recognize various scenes from the classic show in the game.

WayForward used the original NES game as a blueprint for this new offering, and all the art has been hand-drawn from scratch. Last but certainly not least, Capcom says it's working closely with Disney "to make sure everything feels right." Well, good.

It's a fantastic song... just listening made me a little teary eyed. Damn the good ole days, when all I needed was a juice box and my tonka truck.

Amazing game! The NES was an incredible console and this is one of the greats. Easy D1P! My son will dig it. This game would rock even more on the Vita.

Oh my god, I am so excited! I have all the Ducktales DVDs! One of my favorite cartoons as a kid :)

Does anyone remember the game Quackshot for Sega Genesis? If they do well on this one, I'd love to see them remake that!

I remember knowing of Quackshot, but I never owned a Genesis, or any Sega console for that matter, unfortunately. :(

lol that's a blast from the past, I don't think I'll partake though. Bloodrayne was a great side scroller so this should be top notch as well.

Dont remember Goof Troop but Tailspin, Rescue Rangers, and DuckTales would hold me for hours.

If I ever get rich Im still gonna realize my dream of going Scrouge McDuck and swimming in my money!

Edit: And somehow I left out Darkwing Duck. Wow talk about a trip on the way back machine.

I hope this is reasonably priced, this was definitely one of my favorite cartoons and comics as a kid.

I never played the game when it came out on NES, but from everything I have read, this was one of the definitive third party titles that graced the NES.

Now if only they would do a remake of the Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers game, oh and Darkwing Duck too.

This game is the sort of thing I know I always used to think "the next generation" would look like: side-scrolling gameplay with film-quality animation. Count me in.
