Sony Releases Six Minutes Of Rain

One of our most anticipated PlayStation Network exclusives is Rain, which features one of the more artistic and intriguing concepts out there.

Now, Sony has released six minutes of gameplay footage. As you can see, there's a lot to like; the idea is that we'll control a lost boy who is chasing an almost invisible girl. The story sounds interesting, too.

Players have to avoid these shadowy apparitions while chasing the girl, and the game clearly offers a mixture of stealth and puzzle elements. As we already knew, the boy can only be seen when standing in the rain, which could prove problematic if there weren't some visual and sound cues so you're always aware of your positioning. This footage is from the first chapter, which is called "The Children and the Night." There's some minor platforming involved, too, and all in all, it really has a ton of potential. Now we just need a release date...

This looks really interesting, but talk about drab, dreary and depressing!!

These games are the ones that I gladly and wholeheartedly support. Games without overdone military cliches or half-assed stories.

Here are a few things I've noticed.

1. I love how you can really focus on the background when he is invisible.
2. I personally don't like how every section that lacks rain drops is perfectly square. In my opinion it would have been better if they actually made it a little more realistic. You know not just a rectangle/square.
3. Other than that It looks interesting and might be worth the purchase as long as the story is engaging and not too short.

PSN has the best exclusives in my opinion. Highly talented teams under Sony's wing.

Hey Ben I know you've been busy running this site for many years, but here are some suggestions. I know you updated the cosmetic look of PSX but I think it's time for a new look. Something along the lines of "futuristic/elegant". If you could make it happen within this year that would be a great plus. Another thing, I know you will soon have people to help you out, and it would be amazing if you could start something new. This is just an example. Let's say every Wednesday you gave out an assignment or easter egg (Not COD related, it's just an example.) Then everyone that wanted to take on the challenge would jump on it. Ultimately this could lead to prizes or a story of some sort( A game within PSX). I don't know I just feel like that would be something else to look forward to during the week. Like I said that's just an example that made up just now and it could be completely stupid, but I had to show something. Anyways I will stay posted like I always do checking your website about fifty times a day ;) (The only thing is that I don't usually post stuff because I have a different kind of opinion when it comes to stuff). Peace in the middle east.

Wow!
This is looking like a very promising title. Simple gameplay design but a very powerful execution. I am looking forward to seeing more!
