Modern Warfare 4 Gameplay Leak: More Dynamic Features?

The new Call of Duty for 2013 hasn't been formally announced just yet, but that doesn't mean leaks can't happen.

According to Gameranx citing YouTube user Matroix, it seems we may have our first peek at the multiplayer details for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. As the source is very questionable in this case, please do take all info with a grain of salt.

Supposedly, one of the new features that we'll see is a new "slide" technique, which allows the player to leap forward into a prone position while sprinting. However, the prone position will be on the knees rather than the stomach, and players can shoot mid-slide, which sounds awfully...Hollywood-y. Another new feature involves that prone position; it seems the developers have enhanced the functionality of that position by letting us roll from side to side. This could add some speed and fluidity to the combat because rising from a prone position up until now hasn't been the smoothest transition ever.

And lastly, there may be the ability to lean out from cover. This has been featured in various PC iterations of the series but for whatever reason, it has never been allowed in the console versions. This is another more dynamic addition to the basic gameplay mechanic, so that's good news...I believe. I'm not much of a multiplayer aficionado, so I'm not sure what the hardcore CoD faithful think about all this...

I say the next CoD will have those enhancements and will sell well.

Can I have Michael Pachter's job now?

According to Activision, they don't think this next installment will sell as well as the last few have been.

Better conjure up that dumb gas over the US activision. Wouldn't want you guys to not sell 8-12 million copies and then release over priced map packs making more money and giving nothing back.
