Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon Revealed, 80s Awesomeness Dated
The cat was out of the bag early, and it doesn't help that the full version of the game was leaked online two days ago.
But at least now it's official. Ubisoft has confirmed that their Montreal studio is indeed working on Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, which will be available for download on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on May 1.
This spin-off features about eight hours of original content, as there's one open-world island to explore, which will allow you to participate in hunting, the location of collectibles, and the liberation of outposts. Basically, it'll be very similar to what you experienced in last year's critically acclaimed Far Cry 3, which, by the way, you needn't have played to enjoy Blood Dragon. However, while the mechanics are similar, the setting most certainly is not; we get that 80s-themed, totally cornball, cheesy futuristic backdrop that we've already seen.
Man, this game so reminds me of cartoons in the 80s.
