Bethesda Mystery Continues, Second Teaser Released

Bethesda's probably enjoying themselves right about now.

Yesterday, the publisher released a cryptic teaser video that somehow relates to their new project. Vice president of marketing Pete Hines later Tweeted that the project in question is not the long-awaited Fallout 4. Too bad.

Now, there's another Vine video, which you can see below. This one highlights burning sunflowers and a shadowy figure lurking in the background. Hines isn't much help, as he would only Tweet: "The plot thickens..." We're not sure how the two teasers relate to one another, nor are we willing to hazard a guess as to the exact title of the project. Is it a new IP? Or is it a new Elder Scrolls?

Well, whatever it is, here's hoping it's another hugely promising game for the next generation of consoles.

That's not elder scrolls, no way. But it doesn't look like Fallout either (darn). And that guy in the background surely must dead by hanging?

Oh man, I hope at least it's a RPG!

I really would not want Bethesda to be the ones to resurrect a Medieval III...

Bethesda on ps3, is an overrated "developer" IMO .

If they can even be considered developers at all.

Sometimes I wonder if 6 year olds could be taught to code for the PS3 better.

I know, I know, child labor, blah, blah, blah...

If not children, how about bonobos? Surely they are smarter than the current stock of devs at Bethesda. :)

@Jrod, i feel bad even calling them developers i feel they cannkt be cannot called a title that they have not earned, atleast on ps3, i dont consider them developing anything but fraud.

I rarely post here, but I follow this site on a regular basis, and sometimes I feel the need to say a few words. :-)

Since I lead a team of software developers (not in the gaming industry) I get kind of annoyed when I read comments like this. I realize you are making a point, and of course you are not serious, but it still annoys me.

Bethesda on PS3 is a result of priorities and budget, not incompetence.

Bethesda as a developer in general is an amazing company. Do you have any idea how hard it is to implement solutions with the open world scope of Skyrim? It is not an easy thing to do.

Lathon, you should post here more often. I too get annoyed by these kind of sentiments. We need more developers around here. :)

I guess seeing that the PS4 is x86 we can expect a less buggy product this time around.

Ya it would be pretty hard to mess it up on the ps4! especially considering the pc versions of their games are usually the better version.

I don't like teasers like this. I was smart enough to predict that the fungus-headed insect in The Last of Us teaser would lead to a post-infection survival game but what can I do with some barbed wire and burning sunflowers?

Looks like a new IP, but I'd rather hear about Fallout 4. Get back to work Bethesda and quit screwing with people!

I'm sure Bethesda is trolling us and they are making a Fallout 4 (Hopefully). With these two videos, it looks like some sort of war about to begin, but I'm just guessing.

There goes my Wolfenstein theory.

The first teaser had a Wolfenstein vibe to it, however, this one has more of a Doom vibe to it.

Interesting......

Thought I'd say that it has since been confirmed that this is the game that is being teased. It will be revealed tonight.
