Rumor: Arkham Origins Multiplayer Pits Good vs. Evil
God of War didn't need it, and neither does Batman.
But it might be coming, anyway, like it or not. According to sources speaking to Kotaku, the upcoming Batman: Arkham Origins will indeed include a multiplayer component.
It seems players will assume the role of a bad guy, becoming a member of of Joker's or Bane's gang. Then you will attempt to defeat Batman and Robin, if this information is accurate. Supposedly, other villains featured in the multiplayer include Killer Croc, Deadshot, Firefly, Black Mask, Deathstroke and "some kind of Electroman character." We had heard that Deathstroke was going to be in the game, but we just figured he'd be in the campaign. For now, there's nothing official that confirms multiplayer for Arkham Origins, but that news may come soon.
The new Batman effort is slated to arrive for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC on October 25. The protagonist is a younger, "unrefined" Batman who must sorta grow into his cape. Just remember that it's not being created by Rocksteady; the new Warner Bros. Montreal team is at the helm. Cross your fingers!
