Sony Files For The Order: 1886 Trademark
Yeah, you know what time it is. It's time to play: "Guess That IP!" Always fun.
Sony has filed a trademark application with the US Patent & Trademark Office and it's for "computer game software; video game software." The title of the patent is seen here- The Order: 1886. So what's it for?
This via NeoGAF, where we learn Sony applied for the trademark on April 18 and the domain "TheOrder1886.com" was registered last month. So we don't have much to go on, but perhaps it's a brand new IP from one of Sony's internal development studios? Maybe it's one of the new titles Guerrilla Games is supposed to be working on? They're doing Killzone: Shadow Fall but it has been reported in the past that the developer has multiple projects in the hopper. Or it could be a new title from Ready at Dawn, who has sought to move past the PSP.
There are plenty of games that have some fictional version of "The Order," so that might be a dead-end trail. Any ideas?
