Barlog: New Project Not God Of War III
God of WarWhenever a well-respected team starts talking about new projects - without clarifying exactly what those projects are - the rumors start to fly. One of the latest and biggest rumors centered on Cory Barlog's God of War team, who revealed they're working on a new game some time ago. Of course, the rumors instantly started that this new game was God of War III. However, Barlog was quick to shoot that down.
Almost as soon as the rumor hit fever pitch on the Internet, he updated his blog with the following very straightforward comment:
"If we do get started on a GOW for PS3 you can be sure I will be screaming about it from the mountain tops the first chance I am allowed. Until then...I am plugging away on my RPG opus 'A Family Ties game'."
Okay, funny. But seriously, what's the game? You know, if you don't tell us, we're just gonna keep thinking it's God of War III... But we'll just assume your latest project is a worthy undertaking, and gamers everywhere should be excited about it, right? Right. Because it's God of War III.
