Rockstar Releases GTAV Character Vids

It had been rumored that we'd see a new Grand Theft Auto V trailer this week. As it turns out, we got three.

You can view each video separately or catch the kick-ass montage below, which features the hugely anticipated game's three protagonists: Trevor, Michael and Franklin.

This gives us the best look yet at each character's back story and current situation, and we know we'll be playing as all three at various points in GTAV. We also get a few peeks at the fictional California city of Los Santos, which is rumored to be much bigger than Liberty City in GTAIV. I still haven't decided if I like the idea of three main characters, but I imagine the devs at Rockstar know what they're doing. They've proven themselves time and time again.

I just might miss the idea of becoming emotionally invested in one character for a good fifty hours or so. GTAV is set to launch on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on September 17, while PC and Wii U versions are being considered.

sigh.
when are we actually going to see some gameplay!?
were only 4 months away from release, thats 3 months max before they go gold, and we STILL know jack sh*t about the general game!
R*, please for the love of god stop drip feeding us with this irrelevant crap and give us some information we actually need!
the more and more time passes, the more and more im worried this is going to be a repeat of GTAIV!
and R*s anal retentiveness is not exactly helping with that fear.

Gameplay trailers might turn some people off. The idea of switching characters mid mission is kinda disapointing to me. I dont mind 3 characters if each has seperate missions. But to switch seems to me like a hassle.

Imagine your in the middle of a mission and you press a button for a move.... but you press the wrong button and switch your character by mistake and the guy you just switched from dies, failing the mission.

if i remember right most missions are going to be character specific.
so most missions are only going to be available when your playing a certain character.
there are missions where you have to switch characters, there the bank robbing missions if i remember right so there you will have to complete a certain task than switch.
i dont mind the idea, its actually quite a clever way to offer up changes in gameplay and show off the other side of things.
a bank robbery for instance, one has to go in and disable the security systems and keeps employees behaving themselves, one does all the demolition breaking in, one drives the getaway car.
perfect way to show you each side of the coin.

i just hope it has the crazy fun wackiness that has always made GTA so great!
and the humor, GTAIV was so stale and stern it was so boring!
what ever happened to that tongue in cheek humor, the golf mission from VC for instance you have to get a typical golf outfit, so tommy comes out saying no this is just not me!
than another smart a$$ turns around and screams hey nice a$$ baby!
nice to have a little humor in a game, instead of the mindless drivel roman and that chick he was constantly hitting on.
god that lollygagging was PAINFUL!
