$299 PS3 Legacy Bundle Hits This Week

If you haven't picked up a PlayStation 3 just yet, you're really late to the party.

But that doesn't mean you can't own a fantastic video game system. Besides, you may not want to spring for the upcoming PlayStation 4, as that will undoubtedly be a pricey endeavor. Why not check out the PS3 and it's unbelievable assortment of software titles, which have piled up over the past six and a half years?

Here's the new PS3 Legacy Bundle, which will be hitting store shelves at GameStop, Wal-Mart and Best Buy later this week. The package includes a 500GB system, Gran Turismo 5 XL, inFamous 2 and one free month of PlayStation Plus. If you weren't already aware, the XL edition of GT5 includes the original title, the Spec 2.0 update, and a voucher for $20 worth of downloadable content. And you get all this for only $299!

And with the PS4 on the way, you have to assume we'll see great PS3 deals all over the place. This is probably the first of many.

I don't see how this is a legacy bundle. Also, this isn't exactly a big worthy deal considering GT5 XL is under $20 and Infamous 2 is $15 and the Infamous Collection is under $25. That means you're only saving under $35. Also, does anyone know if the games will be in good ol', super good cases or the piece of crap sleeves?

Well both titles are PS3-exclusives, so that might be a reason.

Either way, you're overthinking it.

This is great and all but I would rather put that money towards the PS4 at this point but maybe that's just me.
