"The Definitive" Dead Or Alive 5 Package Coming This Fall

Maybe you missed the super fun Dead or Alive 5 when it released last year.

Maybe you missed the even better Vita iteration, Dead or Alive 5 Plus, when it launched in March of this year.

Well, believe it or not, you'll have another shot. Tecmo Koei has announced the "definitive version" of DoA5; it'll fittingly be called Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate, and it will arrive in both physical and digital formats this fall. Available for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, this package will include the new modes from Plus, along with fresh stages and new fighters. Of course, it will also feature the mainstays of the series, including Hayate, Kasumi, Tina, Christie, Zack, Jann Lee, Helena, Lisa, Hitomi, Lei Fang, Bayman, and Ryu Hayabusa.

If you need to throw down later this year, there probably won't be a better fighter available, so...

I hope they're really careful with how they implement this new update. I really don't want the online fighting pool to be segmented. I hope the players with just the 'vanilla' DOA5 can still play against the players who have the Ultimate edition, just with the proper restrictions in place for matches that don't have both players owning the same version of the game.
This way everyone still cant fight with everyone, keeping online match-ups quick.

last night I was modeling in Max a female for a character I designed.

The head at this point was just a big block, more or less. I thought it looked semi-interesting-silly so I rendered out a wire-frame to use as my avatar. Unfortunately tons of detail was lost upon shrinking it so it's hard to see.

The dude will probably get an overhaul. But I do want some sort of creature thing connected to his spine and head and stuff. That kinda stuff is kewl ;)

So it's the Vita version for consoles? I should probably finish the story in it one of these days. We really need a fully realized DOA volleyball/island sports game with the babes on PS4.

No, it's more than that. It includes some of the features that only appeared in the Vita version, like the better training tuts and move data details.
But this version will have new stages and characters and what looks to be new outfits. It looks like there's new character introductions as well. I don't recognize the one Kasumi does in that new vid. I'm hoping for new moves and character refinements.
