The Last Of Us Hits 3.4 Million Worldwide In Only 3 Weeks
For a title that's only available on one platform, this is very impressive, wouldn't you say?
Today, Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCEI) announced that Naughty Dog's latest masterpiece, The Last Of Us, has sold 3.4 million units worldwide as of July 3. It only took three weeks for the critically lauded title to hit that number.
The press release says the game "has surpassed all sales expectations to become the fastest-selling PS3 title of 2013." After landing over 30 perfect scores from various sources, gamers everywhere responded. Featuring an excellent story, memorable characters, and a survival-based style of gameplay that forces you to adapt and remain vigilant, The Last Of Us is a mammoth achievement. Said Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida:
"These sales figures are a testament to the blockbuster quality of The Last of Us. The teams at Naughty Dog are true visionaries and their storytelling capabilities are second to none, this title is an undisputed demonstration of that.
