PS3 News: Soul Calibur IV Officially Announced

Soul Calibur IV Officially Announced

It's one of the most critically acclaimed and well-received fighting franchises out there, and fans have been eagerly awaiting the next installment. Namco did announce Soul Calibur Legends for the Wii a little while back, but while cool, it wasn't what the hardcore fans were looking for. No, they were hoping for a true sequel announcement...and here it is.

Yesterday, Bandai Namco Games officially announced Soul Calibur IV for the PS3 and Xbox 360, which is indeed a "true fighting sequel" in the series. They've released no media as of yet, nor is there a concrete release date, but we do know it should be completed some time next year. "TBA 2008" probably seems like a long ways off, but we're confident Namco will provide you with plenty of screenies, videos, and other information to tide you over.

We'll keep a close eye on Soul Calibur IV, so make sure to check back for any new details and updates.
