Konami Announces Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow Collection

If you missed out on Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, here's your chance to remedy that mistake.

Konami has announced that the Lords of Shadow collection will launch in November, and it will feature the original acclaimed title from developer MercurySteam, as well as both the Reverie and Resurrection DLC, the 3DS remake Mirror of Fate HD, and a demo for the upcoming sequel, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2.

Only the original game will be provided on a physical disc; the rest will be delivered via download code. This Collection has received a date of November 8 in the UK with a retail price of 29.99. We don't have the details for the North American release just yet, but you have to figure the date and price will be pretty similar. As for Lords of Shadow 2, that's slated to launch on February 25 in the US for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

I can't wait for this. On a side note, I have a question for you Ben. When games come out at full price like let's say Borderlands 2, and we wait until an ultimate edition comes out at a cheaper price like let's say 20 bux and then we buy it, does that hurt the makers? I waited until there was an Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 came out and it was less than half of the original price so I'm just curious if that hurts because less revenue or if that helps considering if it were not for that, I wouldn't have purchased the game at all.

You answered your question already. You wouldnt buy it if it wasnt 20 bucks. It ahould not affect the developers. Its pure profit from your sale.

For me, I would buy games at full price, but was delayed cause im busy with my current games. They lose the extra sales from me.

Pfft. If you're going to call something an Ultimate Edition, then please put the additional content on the damn disc. I picked up the original game a couple months ago for $9 when the local video store went out of business (also got RE6 for $3 - good deal?), but I haven't gotten around to playing it yet. I did try the sequel at the Expo this past weekend and it was, hands-down the best action/adventure game at the show. Just felt really satisfying, wasn't quite challenging enough, but it's tailored to the Expo crowd so, yeah. Definitely one to watch, methinks.

$3 for RE6 is fair, I paid $5 and still only managed to stomach Leon's campaign and half of Ada's.

I'm playing RE6 right now. Started this week with gf. We love it. Pretty fun on the cheap. Got strategy guide for free as well. Love getting games she likes playing. The couple that plays together stays together.
