Assassin's Creed Liberation HD Lands On PS3, PSN In January

If you missed it when it came out for the PlayStation Vita (or you don't happen to own a Vita), you can still play Assassin's Creed III: Liberation.

Ubisoft has announced that a high-definition version of the former handheld title will make its way to the PS3 and PSN on January 14, 2014. It will retail for an agreeable $19.99.

Back in late 2012, Liberation released to decent critical acclaim alongside Assassin's Creed III for consoles. The new HD iteration features 15 new missions based on Aveline's three personas: Assassin, Lady and Servant. The game is set in New Orleans between the years 1765 and 1780, a period that spanned the end of the French and Indian War. Aveline is a female assassin who finds herself mixed up in a variety of political issues, and eventually must take on the all-mighty, all-seeing Templars.

I said in my review that it was a good game on the Vita, but it just felt a little empty and bland when compared with the bigger console adventures. Still, for only $20, it's definitely a journey worth taking.

I'd much rather have another vita one. Very fun game to play on the go!

No reason to own a Vita kids, just wait awhile for whatever you want. Next up: Uncharted Golden Abyss HD.

they'd have to cut stuff out to bring Golden Abyss over. They actually did a decent job with some of Vita's unique interface pads concerning that game. But I'm sure they can figure something out. On PS4 they wouldn't have a problem. But who wants Vita games on a PS4?

Saw that coming when AC3 came out for the PS3. Just took a bit longer than I thought it would.

Keep playing!

I hope they re-do some of the New Orlean's accents......some were just horrible.
