Bioshock Infinite Burial At Sea Episode One Launch Trailer

Fans of the amazing Bioshock Infinite will definitely want to play the narrative-driven Burial at Sea downloadable content.

Episode One is available today and here's the launch trailer. Players assume the role of Elizabeth, who was Booker's very helpful sidekick in the main Infinite story.

This time, Elizabeth is back in Rapture, the setting of Bioshock 2. The story is designed to tie Booker and Elizabeth together, and there will be elements of stealth as well. Elizabeth doesn't have the same skill set so you'll have to approach certain situations differently, and I'm looking forward to giving it a try. Remember, franchise creator Ken Levine has already said that it will take most gamers at least 3 hours to complete the first episode.

Now that's the kind of DLC I can get behind.

Most reviews are stating its 90 minutes, while the US price might justify that for 15 pounds that is not worth it. I wouldnt buy this until both parts were released anyway, but now I will just wait for a sale.

Most reviews are almost always wrong. Those same reviewers told you Heavenly Sword was 5 hours long.

Because critics rush like crazy to get through a game, and because they're often better at that game than most players, their finish time is typically WAY off. Why they don't acknowledge this, I'm not sure.

Even so, I despise getting games in chunks. DLC is bad enough but DLC in parts... Just look at how that worked of for Sonic 4... I'm sure everyone thought that series was dead Sega announced Sonic 4 part 2... they could be working on a part 3 for all we know. There no reason why this could not have been released as a singular piece of DLC other than to pinch more change from the wallet/purse.

But when I invest into a game, I like the full content. Call me old fashioned, but I just can't be bothered to constantly tip a developer beneath the table for more content. It's just tedious and as I have said many times before, puts me off buying games on day one, why bother if a DLC edition is just around the corner.

I just really disapprove of the distribution of the gaming industry and miss the days of buying a game in confidence.

Of all the DLC additions to pick on, Bioshock is one of the worse places to do it. This isn't a piece of the game that was held back. It's not just additional time in the same game.

But I do agree that they probably split this in two to satisfy the 3-DLC promise of the season pass. Which is lame.

Ohhh man I'm stoked, dunno if I should try to make time to play it tonight or tomorrow though. Kind of hard to stay away. I hate the fact that the store here doesn't update until evening.

I have yet to purchase this game so a Game of Year edition with all the DLC would be ideal.
