Ground Zeroes Exclusive PS Content: Play As Classic Snake

What was once exclusive to PlayStation has now gone multiplatform.

But that doesn't mean Konami has forgotten its legions of fans on the Sony side. When Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes come out, it will boast exclusive content for the PS3 and PS4.

That will come in the form of an extra mission appropriately called "Déjà Vu," in which players will assume the role of Classic Snake. Remember, from the original Metal Gear Solid? It may look a little odd with that old-fashioned character model superimposed over the flashy new graphics, but it's a definite nostalgia trip for veteran followers of the franchise. If you've forgotten, Ground Zeroes is the prequel to The Phantom Pain, which is due out later in 2014.

Snake is the man. That's all there is to it.

Thanks, Zak!

I like classic snake but I prefer to play as Big Boss. That's just me though.

Wait, they're gonna put a PS1 character model in there? Wouldn't they just make a new version of him?

If anyone doesn't know, check out Sony's youtube channel for 12 minutes of MGSV gameplay. It looks incredible.

Nice little offering, but I'd buy the game either way. However, I am still waiting for an HD release of the original MGS to compliment 2, 3, and Peace Walker. Seems it wouldn't be a whole lot of effort to port the Gamecube version.
