Dark Souls II Launch Trailer: Many, Many Fearsome Beasts

Yes, you're probably going to die a lot in Dark Souls II.

In case you wanted to see some of the ridiculously terrifying creatures that will end your life numerous times, here's the launch trailer for the anticipated sequel.

With Jethro Tull's "Locomotive Breath" leading the way, we go on a brief journey of bravery and what appears to be imminent failure. It's not like those videos that show constant dying (as realistic though they may be), and it's more about amping you up for the new game. Even so, when getting an eyeful of some of those overwhelmingly huge bosses, one can't help but feel a mite nervous...

Dark Souls II is out today for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360; the PC version will follow on April 25.

Yeah this is probably the worst trailer they've ever put together in awhile.

while no gameplay this one is so much better.

This is probably my favorite trailer of Dark Souls 2. This is precisely how everyone should go in thinking when attempting any Souls game .

Looks like From Software has another massive hit on their hands. Congratulations! Hopefully it sells a ton for them.

This game is pulling in major high scores. Not many games can release on the same day as the hyped up Titanfall, with little to no hype (in comparison) and hold its own. Obviously they're aiming for two different audiences but it's not every game can say that.

At the game release I went to last night, most of them were there for Dark Souls 2. I don't think as many are jumping on the Titanfall train as one might think. Although, maybe it's just my area.

Demon's Souls cost me a controller. But as hard as these games are thought to be they will never match Battletoads.

That's not really a fair comparison though, on the one hand you have a game that crushes you for every wrong decision, makes you feel like a small insignificant child for even attempting to play it, gives you hours upon hours of relentless beatings, and, though I'm not quite sure about this part, it will call your mother in the middle of the night and call her scandalous names. And on the other hand you have the Souls games.

That's great to hear. In Ireland we have to wait until Friday. Luckily and coincidentally, I have Friday off work, it's not easy having to wait.

Freaking game is everything I hoped for. Sorry World but I disagree Jethro Tull and Dark Souls were made for one another.
