LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham Hits Store Shelves This Fall

Another year, another LEGO game.

And the superhero fascination continues, as Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games and The LEGO Group have announced that LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham will land this fall for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, 3DS and PC.

The LEGO games have proven mighty popular over the years, racking up over 100 million in sales. As for the new entry, the Caped Crusader teams up with the heroes of the DC Comics Universe; their goal is to - what else? - save the earth. The evil Brainiac is using powerful Lantern Rings to shrink entire worlds, thereby adding them to his collection of miniature cities and planets. He must be stopped!

Players will unlock over 150 unique characters from the DC Comics realm, including members of the Justice League, so superhero fanatics should be in heaven. Said TT Games Managing Director Tom Stone:

"Building on the incredibly successful LEGO Batman franchise, we are working to make LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham the ultimate super hero videogame this year for all ages. The TT Games team is bringing LEGO Batman and an astounding amount of characters from the DC Comics universe to the next frontier with a new epic story, more gadgets and unexpected challenges."
