Select Sony TVs Will Support PlayStation Now Next Week
Sony's goal is to bring their new streaming service, PlayStation Now, to multiple connected devices, and that includes TVs.
The company has revealed that Now will debut on some Sony TVs starting on June 30. This includes all of the new 4K HDTVs that are currently available, along with some of the 1080p sets. Using a Dual Shock 3 controller, owners of compatible TVs can play select PlayStation 3 games without the console. This early program is called the Private Pilot service and for now, we don't know how long it will last so take advantage if you can.
The service has been in a closed beta for PS4 and PS3, and an open beta will be available on the PS4 on July 31. If you've sampled the service, what do you think? Is it something you'd use often? Personally, I think it's a nice little option, but I'm not sure if I'd get a huge amount of use out of it...
