Final Fantasy Music Has Never Sounded Quite This Good

Final Fantasy is a legendary franchise and as any true fan will tell you, the beautiful music is a big part of the experience.

If you're one of the FF faithful, you should seriously consider picking up "Final Symphony," a brand new album featuring music from the esteemed series, as performed by the world-famous London Symphony Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios.

Long-time Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu assisted in the project, which captures some of the best pieces from Final Fantasy VI, Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy X. Check out a behind-the-scenes video of the recording below; it'll likely tickle your buying bone even further. Said Uematsu:

"To work with the London Symphony Orchestra in a studio that has played host to many of my own personal, musical heroes will be a very special experience."

We're sure it was. "Final Symphony" is currently available to purchase on Amazon and iTunes.

Yeah. We can. lol As of Feb 23, apparently. Do you base all your opinions on ancient information?

Does your Spotify have a mood playlist specifically for when playing Kingdom Hearts 2? And is it available on every single device in my home yet? It will once Sony switches over, so I'll likely be on Spotify this time next month, anyways. I'm also quite happy my playlists will transfer over. (Or so I'm told)

No worries. Not a big deal, anyways.

Temjin: And I knew you'd respond -exactly- like that! And I hoped you would so I could point this out: that's what you do... once you've been so soundly trounced (like the last time this topic came up), you resort to trying to prod people. It's your MO! And I have you completely figured out.

You should try to tone down your passive-aggressiveness. It makes you sound much less intelligent than I know you are.

your proof (to counter a.... question?) was thrown out. Oh, so desperate for juice you are.

-blissfully listens to Spotify songs-

EDIT: I see you more or less completely changed your latest message through a post message edit. You were too late. I read what you said the first time. And I don't know of any trouncing you speak of...

I edited it about a dozen times, actually. But since you're wondering.....

The trouncing was the one where I basically pointed out that you just simply aren't examining all the aspects of service in your brazen contempt for anyone that didn't like Spotify exactly as much as you did. (You insulted me and others who did not prefer it, essentially implying people don't know wtf they're looking at if they don't think Spotify is amazing)

I even acknowledged that the -music- service of Spotify may be superior in every way, but that it was completely irrelevant if I couldn't access the services as seamlessly and conveniently as I can access MU. (I won't go into detail again about device conflicts, etc.) Besides, it's certainly not like MU is -bad-! Your responses essentially side stepped any point I made while ignoring the concessions I made to accommodate and recognize your good points. You then only paraphrased exactly what you had already said before any of my responses.

So yeah... I felt like you couldn't keep up with me, or what is more likely, as I pointed out is your MO, were simply trying to solicit a response... at that realization, I simply stopped responding to you.

It will all be a non-issue next month, as all MU apps will update to seamlessly become Spotify apps. So, in April, I -will- be able to access it exactly as conveniently as I want, and I expect to enjoy it.

dude. You clearly have many problems by running into a question asked in jest with arms swinging. I don't want to be one of your problems. If you want to have a me party, go ahead.

The only way for your account of that last discussion to be complete and true is if you responded days later to a dead discussion. Where you would have your unanswered "trouncing"
I really don't care at this point so please leave me alone and I'll be sure to kid with someone else.

thanks, Banky!

Temjin, if by "kid" you mean make off-handed, passive-aggressive comments, go right ahead. I'm sure someone else would -love- to take your middle school pool-noodle assault. I'll be here waiting for you the moment you're willing to talk like a grown-up, head on about the -actual- information exchanged once you learn to let go of your security-red-herring.

TIP: I didn't feel or behave abbrasively until after your "I knew you'd comment" comment. Don't act like you didn't want a fight immediately after trying to start one. I love confrontation. Don't seek me out and then act all downton abbey "oh my" on me.

... what's with the 'passive aggressive' term you keep spamming as if it's somehow applied here? You enjoy spamming people with mental conditions? Thanks.

heh. my initial response was completely lighthearted in intention, assuming it'd be taken differently by yourself. I had no idea you had such a chip on your shoulder over me and my personality.

As I've asked politely with no insult to character, please go about your way as I really don't have anything more to say to you. I don't seek after the confrontation here as you do so yourself.

I saw the Distant Worlds concert in Toronto a number of years back with my wife. It was awesome to hear those songs in all their glory. I also have the two Distant Worlds cd's and on MU.

I did find the vocalists they chose to be rather amateurish. Even the ones they got for the FFVI Opera scene. My mother is an opera singer, and even the local vocalists in our hometown were stronger than whoever it was they had. Also, the singers they had doing the more pop-style songs were extremely amateurish or under-rehearsed. (Probably the latter)

But Arnie Roth directed the group and kept them together, in tempo, and with good dynamic contrast to suit the mood. So overall it was very good.

Also cool that during intermission, all the food was themed. (ie. Sphere Grid Pizza)

As for this album, I'm a little bummed they didn't have any FFVIII music. I have an album of the Tokyo Philharmonic doing songs from FFVIII. It's very good, especially "The Oath".
