Pre-E3 2007: Gamecock Announces Legendary: The Box
If there's one game publisher that can shove the largest pack of sexual
innuendos into its news and products, it's certainly Gamecock. Today, the
Austin, Texas based publisher announced they're developing an all new
first-person shooter for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. The game is called
Legendary: The Box. In Legendary, the world is suddenly on its toes when ancient
mythical creatures are awakened and set out into modern society. And of course,
it's your job to stop them.
"Like most developers, we've always had a dream game that we've secretly been working on," said Craig Allen, CEO of Spark Unlimited. We've made a name for ourselves with World War II first-person shooters, but Legendary: The Box is our labor of love. It's a thrill to work with Gamecock; they want to see the game completed exactly as we envision it."
"If there is one genre that needs a shot in the arm, it's the first-person shooter," said Harry Miller, Head of Development of Gamecock Media Group. "Spark's Legendary: The Box is going to be a classic, in terms of story, game-play and technology. I'm inspired by where they're taking the genre."
The story actually sounds quite decent, dealing with our character Charles Deckard who is an art thief. The thief is 'duped' into stealing Pandora's Box and when he opens it, he unleashes creatures once believed to be myth (werewolves, gryphons, and such).
