PS3 News: New Rayman Coming to PS2 and PlayStation 3

New Rayman Coming to PS2 and PlayStation 3

Everyone's favorite hero without legs and arms is getting ready to star in his fourth game. A new Rayman video game is being developed by Ubisoft’s Montpellier studio, lead by Michel Ancel, creator of the original Rayman game, as well as Beyond Good & Evil and King Kong. The new Rayman video game will launch during Holiday 2006 on current and next-generation consoles.

"Rayman is one of the brands that encapsulate Ubisoft’s ability to create characters and universes that appeal to all kinds of players," said Yves Guillemot, chief executive officer at Ubisoft. "We are expecting this new Rayman video game to sweep players off their feet."

A bit of trivia for you - the Rayman series has sold over 16 million copies in its ten year run. I had no idea it was that popular. I guess I'm just not that smart.
