E3 2007: Sony Presents PS3 Exclusives, More Games For 2007

Sony's Phil Harrison revealed the upcoming PS3 exclusives for 2007 at today's press conference, punctuated by Ubisoft's Haze, which was a huge announcement. He went on to talk about more exclusives for the year, and brief videos were shown for each.

The most intriguing of the bunch is Sucker Punch's brand new project, Infamous. Known for the popular Sly Cooper franchise on the PS2, these guys are working on a darker, grittier, more adult title this time around. Whispers of a new Sly Cooper for the PS3 had been circulating, but as it turns out, it was a new Sucker Punch game, not related to the platforming series. Beyond this one, Harrison confirmed the following as PS3 exclusives and treated attendees to short previews for each-

  • Infamous
  • Heavenly Sword
  • Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction
  • Folklore
  • Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
  • Gran Turismo 5 Prologue
  • NBA 08

Obviously, Prologue is not the final version of GT 5, but it's good to know we're at least getting a taste this year. Beyond these exclusives, Sony took the time to show trailers for their hottest multiplatform titles for 2007-

  • Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
  • Assassin's Creed
  • Kane & Lynch
  • Resident Evil 5
  • Burnout Paradise
  • Madden NFL 08
  • Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
  • The Simpsons Game
  • Guitar Hero III
  • Medal of Honor: Airborne
  • Rock Band

If you hadn't already guessed, the PS3 is bringin' the games this year, and many of them are destined to be very big sellers.
