Play TM Magazine Gives Lair A 9.0

Scheduled to release on August 14 in the U.S., Lair has been one of the most anticipated PS3 titles of the year. We've seen a lot of great updates from Factor 5 over the past few months, and by now, we're plenty excited. According to Gamers-Creed, it seems that Play TM magazine has already landed a retail copy, so obviously, a review was soon to follow...

Clearly, they were very impressed with this game, especially in regards to the amazing visuals. Here are some of the quotes from that review-

"With its stunning visuals and incredible soundtrack, Lair may well be the single most powerful experience that a man can share with his $5,000 home theatre system."

"If gliding over a beautiful starlit ocean to the haunting strains of opera doesn’t impress you, you’re dead inside."

"So yes, if there’s any doubt left, Lair has come together beautifully."

Their only complaints centered on a confusing navigation system and a lack of direction, but it wasn't a big enough problem to halt their enjoyment. They also say it's a game with "incredible depth," and that the early framerate issues are completely fixed in the final version. In the end, they gave Lair a 9.0 out of 10, and that's awesome. Good news, here; let's hope it receives the same sort of critical acclaim when it launches in a couple weeks.
