PS3 News: Army of Two Heads to PlayStation 3

Army of Two Heads to PlayStation 3

Electronic Arts today unveiled details of a PlayStation 3 action title that has been kept top secret for the past year. Developed at EA’s boutique production house in Montréal, Army of Two will be released on the PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2007.

Alain Tascan, VP and General Manager of EA Montréal comments, “Army of Two is a first for EA in many ways. This is the first EA studio to be built entirely from the ground-up. This is EA’s first original title for the next-gen systems. Army of Two is the first game to put players inside tactical warfare involving Private Military Corporations.”

The game will revolve around events similar to current day headlines where they will utilize two man strategies and tactics, transitioning between playing with intelligent Partner AI (PAI) and a live player. Two-player co-op is a big theme for the game, and EA says the game really shines when played with a friend. More details and screens will be released at E3.
