Media Create Japan Software Sales: July 30th-Aug. 5th

So the big surprise of last week's chart is that Hot Shots Golf 5 did not completely fall off the top 10, but retained a powerful presence by shifting another 64k copies, totaling an estimated 216k games sold. The big debut for last week is not a surprise, as the newest Winning Eleven for the PS2 came in with 150k sold in its first week.

Likewise, Mario Party 8 is also enjoying strong sales, selling a spectacular 135k copies in its second week of sales. Unfortunately, past the top three, sales take a nosedive, as you can see. The sales discrepancy between Hot Shots and 'Wonderful World is quite large.

Overall, the top ten averages out to 53k, which is a drop over the previous week in sales, but thanks to strong sales from the top three, the software average is still respectable.
