Turok Delayed Until February

If there's one thing we have plenty of this year, it's first-person shooters. Besides the obvious in Halo 3, we also have the PS3 timed exclusives Haze and Unreal Tournament 3, not to mention Medal of Honor: Airborne, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, and Half-Life 2: Orange. But we had also expected another one, one of more archaic proportions, to arrive in 2007 as well: Turok.

And while we would've liked to have battled dinosaurs some time this fall - the original release date - this particular FPS is officially delayed. As of now, it should hit the U.S. on February 5, 2008 and Europe a couple days later. According to IGN, publisher Disney Interactive is giving developer Propaganda Games more time to "iron out any issues and ensure it's perfect for release." We can live with that explanation, right? Why rush perfection?

Of course, many already knew about this if they had downloaded that E3 trailer of Turok at the PlayStation Store. Upon the video's conclusion, it very clearly shows off the February 5, 2008 date, and while it may have confused some of us, this confirmation clears everything up. Looks like we'll just have to wait a bit longer to take on T-Rex with a crossbow.

Getting Twisted Metal on Valentine's Day?
Yep, I can't wait!
I'll get it, but not until later.
I'll have to wait for the reviews.
This just isn't my cup of tea.
