E3 2006: Sega Unleashes Next-Gen Golden Axe
As the erstwhile underdog Sega begins to wrap up its "Road to E3" campaign, they have announced a next-gen version of their classic medieval beat-em-up Golden Axe. Not a whole lot of specifics have been divulged, but the game is being developed by the recently acquired Secret Level. It will be something of a re-imagining of the series, focusing on a group called the Riders which, well, ride mounts into battle. On the back of a creature or on foot, they'll have to take on an evil empire sought on destroying their civilization. Golden Axe will appear on both the Xbox 360 and PS3.
